WHY GOD MADE YOU

God has never created anything without a purpose.  

It is in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for.  .  .

GOD CREATED ME AND YOU FOR HIS GLORY. 

• The Bible calls this worship. TO WORSHIP GOD.

  
  

GOD CREATED ME AND YOU FOR HIS FAMILY. 

• Being a part of God’s family is not automatic. It’s a choice.

  
  

1 Timothy 3:15 says “That family is the church of the living God, the support and foundation of the truth.” 

ANOTHER REASON FOR YOUR AND MY LIFE IS TO LEARN TO LOVE OTHERS. 

• The church, God’s family, is the laboratory for learning real love.

Romans 12:5 “We belong to each other and each of us needs all the others.”  

GOD CREATED ME AND YOU TO BECOME LIKE CHRIST.

Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 

2 Corinthians 3:18 “As the Spirit of the Lord works within us, we become more and more like him.”

GOD FORMED YOU AND ME TO SERVE HIM. 

Psalm 139:13 For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.

Psalm 139:13, “You shaped me [God] first inside, then out; you formed me in my mother’s womb.” 

• God has given you spiritual gifts. 

• God gives you a unique heart. 

• Your passion is what you love to do. 

• We’re given different abilities. 

• We all have different personalities. 

• Every experience in your life shapes you. 

• The number one thing God uses in your life to shape you for serving him is painful experiences.  

  
  

Ephesians 2:10 ^“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” 

God made you for a reason:  to do good works.  

The Bible says we serve God by serving others. 

Jesus said you can’t say you love God and hate your brother.  

The Bible says if you say I don’t want to serve other people, you’re not really serving God. 

Peter 4:10 (NLT) God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.

ANOTHER REASON OF LIFE IN CHRIST IS TO SERVE GOD BY SERVING OTHERS.

GOD MADE YOU AND ME FOR A MISSION.

John 17:18, Just as you sent me into the world, I am sending them into the world. 

Acts 20:24 “I consider that my life will be wasted unless I use it to complete my mission and finish the assignment that the Lord Jesus has given to me—to tell everyone the Good News about God’s grace.”  

• You were made for so much more than you’re living right now.  

• You were made for more than the good life.  You were made for the better life.  

  
  

2 Corinthians 5:15 ^“Christ died for all so that those who live would not continue to live for themselves. He died for them and was raised from the dead so that they would live for him.”  

Psalm 34:8 “Open your eyes and see how good God is! Blessed are you who run to him.”
